Got this outdoor side table done just in time for summer. The base is upcycled metal and the top is reclaimed wood. Did a light char on the top before finishing to add some depth to the grain, then finished with Osmo’s red penetrating oil. The char and the red oil together give it that rich colour you can see in the photo, and the Osmo is tough enough to handle being outside.
Knots and character marks in reclaimed wood always look better once you get a finish on them.
